MG-69
Comparison of WD40 vs MG-69
WD-40® Multi-Purpose Product
WD-40 MG-69-Use Product protects metal from rust and corrosion, penetrates between immobilised parts, displaces moisture and provides lubrication for almost all types of parts. It removes many types of dirt from most surfaces.
WD-40 has five basic functions:
1 Displaces moisture, preventing rusting and accelerating the drying of electrical systems.
2 Penetrates between immobilised components.
3 Provides lubrication to improve equipment operation.
4 Removes oil, dirt, grease and other contaminants.
5 Protects metal surfaces from rust and corrosion.
MG-69 provides the above functions, plus:
Cleans:
MG-69 ‘lifts’ and removes dirt and grease from surfaces, including from adhesive compounds and bonding agents.
MG-69 keeps surfaces clean, protects against airborne contaminants, such as dust and smoke, through electrochemical surface bonding technology, causing dipole-dipole interaction and cation exchange on metal surfaces.
Removes moisture:
MG-69 is a fast-acting drying agent for the rapid and thorough displacement of moisture from damp or saturated electrical or electronic systems. The migrating film destroys condensation and moisture, carrying it away to the surface where it dries or can be wiped off to reactivate circuits. Once dry, a very thin film remains to resist rust and corrosion. MG-69 does not contain carbon tetrachloride and will not damage insulation.
Areas of application: Wet or damp ignitions, electrical systems, motors, controls, starters, relays, radios, electronic equipment, etc.
Penetrates:
MG-69 is the ideal solution for hundreds of different maintenance and production problems related to rust and corrosion. It works quickly and effectively on even the most severe cases of rusted equipment, parts and components. MG-69 spreads quickly on rusted, corroded areas, helping to relieve stresses and loosen working mechanisms, tight-fitting parts and frozen surfaces. MG-69 does not affect painted surfaces.
Areas of application: rusted screw lugs, sliding parts, gear mechanisms, hinges, tools, gears, wheels, rotating equipment, joints, cams, levers, industrial equipment, etc.
Lubrication:
MG-69 is a lightweight but long-lasting lubricant. It offers fast and long-lasting lubrication in a wide range of applications both in industry, shop and garage, farm and home. MG-69 is ideal for automobiles and equipment, penetrating and lubricating deeply in hard-to-reach areas.
Areas of application: metal mechanisms, gears, locks, linkages, wheel bearings, metal-to-metal surfaces, cams, levers, motors, slides, hinges, garden equipment, etc.
Protection:
MG-69 protects against rust for a long time. The unique formulation of this product uses a combination of the best rust and oxidation preventatives available. MG-69 penetrates areas of rust, displacing it, stopping the oxidation process. It prevents the formation of rust on a surface coated with even a thin layer of MG-69.
In addition, MG-69 removes corrosion from printed circuits. To do this, lightly spray a thin layer of STKS and scrub with a ‘toothbrush’. This also prevents corrosion in the future. Once the corrosion has been removed and the excess STKS removed from the board, the microfilm layer will remain on the metal surface, virtually eliminating the long-term effects of electrolytic bridging.
Additional MG-69 features:
MG-69 contains Metal Guard CLP, a leading anti-friction product for metal-to-metal contact. Metal Guard CLP is a blend of petroleum-based products containing no graphite, PTFE, silicones or synthetic plastics. The dielectric strength of MG-69 is 45 KV (45,000 volts).
MG-69 is not an aerosol - it is packaged in convenient hand spray bottles. The adjustable nozzle allows complete control over the lubrication process, precisely locating the formulation at its destination.
